Hi peeps.
Its been about a month now of TVR ownership and i'm loving every bit of it so far, but there are a few niggles that i would like to sort out and i was hoping that the source of all answers (pistonheads) would be able to help.

1) I have a missing rubber from the top of the passenger door. When it dropped off i don't know, but every time i close the door there is a spring like "twang" noise. This doesn't sound too healthy and so i would like to get this replace. Anyone know what part i am talking about? And if so where can i get a replacement.

2) When driving around (when the engine is either hot or cold) and i change gear (normally down) there is a subtle cluck sound coming from the rear near side of the car. Not sure what this is as i have never heard it before. But it normally occurs of the cluth is let out too qucikly and there isn't enough revs of if i come of the breaks quickly.

3) I have only spotted that the dash on the car has cracks all over it. Is there anywhere that i can buy a new one?

well thats it for now and apart from these niggles the car is the best!
Mucho appreciate all your comments.

Thanks

D3

The rubber at the top of the door is extruded and fits in a slot, it’s normally sold from the roll, Fernies stock it check out your local.

Diff noise? Nah wait for the experts.....

Dash referb? The London Carriage Co.
Or there’s Leven Technology for a new shiny one.

yep thats the bit thats missing. I think its making that twanging noise as the rubber bits stops the door, so that the catch doesn't take the full blow of a closing door. i think...

I take it that its not normal to hear that noise from the back then. if it is the diff would it be expensive to repair?

The clunk may well be the bolts are loose that fix the diff to the chasis. Jack the back end up and shine a torch up and have a look. there should be four socket head machine screws. Make sure that they are tight using an 8mm allen key.
