Any propshaft experts on here?

Whilst swearing profusely on discovering the propshaft on the E24 635CSi had a crimped UJ, I then forgot to mark the propshaft prior to removal. I removed the shaft only from the centre bearing to the box, not the entire thing. Now the car has been pushed out of the workshop so the box has remained static but the diff has spun. Any ideas on how critical the re-alignment is ( I could use previous witness marks to re-align to the box, but not to the splined centre section.) or how to re-align it if it is?
