Is there any reason why I shouldn't make my own? I spliced into the 2 wires to the otter switch and fed these via a switch and mounted it under the steering columm cowl, is this safe practice?
It works fine but just wondered as I'm no electrician.

Yep no problem doing it yourself, i also put a little led on the steering cowl too, just to make sure it was swithced on/off. the Led also comes on when the Fans come on automatically so you can double check.

Cheers BB,
Hasn't burst into flames yet so you must be right. Can't get the LED in the switch to work properly. It just flashes once as I turn the switch on but worked fine when connected to a spare battery. Ohwell.

You need to take a 12v pos from ignition and one of the two new wires, will do the neg. Wrong one and the LED will illuminate all the time, the right one and it will only light when the otter or your switch is "on".
Thanks David,
I see where I've been going wrong now, forgot there wasn't a 12 volt supply to the otter switch.
