mods, can you move this to the correct section please, Although i'm new to this site, I've been a reader for months

my husband was bitten by a dog yesterday, we have reported it to the police phone

is it worth going to see an injury compensation lawyer to sue the owner (we know who he is) to get compensation for what his dog did? would this be "no win, no fee" grounds?

thank you

Police can prosecute under the Dangerous Dogs Act and get the dog destroyed. As for the claim, for god's sake stop seeing every opportunity for a compensation claim.

Hmm can't be serious.

Well we need more details. Without details of how it happened I would say man up its a small bruise. Keep away from his dog in future.

No, people like you are the reason insurance is rediculously expensive. You've done all that is necessary reporting it to the police.

confused what are you on about? we're not going to be claiming compensation against any insurance policy, we're going to (hopefully?) sue him personally

Bring back the dog licence!

About £250 per animal should do it given that breeders seem to charge £500 for stupid mongrels these days (Labradoodles etc).

That would reduce pavement fouling and irresponsible idiots having them.

Why? Sometime st happens. Deal with it.

By reporting it you have probably sentenced his dog to death, why inflict further misery on the bloke, unless you have a personal vendetta.

Damn, shouldn't feed the troll.

Perhaps tell him to wear some trousers in future? If he will wander around in his - what are they Y Fronts or briefs it's hard to tell from that angle - pants then these things are to be expected.

This really, hardly life threatening is it, and because you've reported it, as said the dog could now be put down.

Why would you want to sue him?
