McCain micro Chips?

Hello all,
I know this might be like swearing but how would a superchip (not the mccain type) affect an elise? would it end up giving less power then the standard lotus gobbie?

Better off getting performance air filter/exhaust etc

been tested to be worthless !...fit a few bolt ons and the std ecu will compensate up to around 150bhp...after that fit an aftermarket ecu...chips only really give good gains on turbo cars IMO
