Cycle trips circa 70-80 miles from hertfordshire and back??

Hi guys, Im new to pistonheads - So Hello!

Just wondered if there was anybody with any recommendations as per the topic.

Ive been to London and back (76 miles) from Luton and Cambridge and back from Bedford (77miles)

Mostly road routes/cycle paths - any favourite pub destinations? sites worth riding to? that sort of thing.

Your recommendations would be appreciated! Thanks

Thats true - welwyn garden city

From WGC anything heading out into the Chilterns e.g. via Wheathampstead, Redbourn, Gaddesden, Dagnall, Ivinghoe then loop around to build up the distance you want. Lots of places to aim for such as Wendover, Amersham etc. Then you can come back via Kings Langley, Bedmond, St. Albans easily enough.

Lots of hills, views and nice points to stop at if you wish.
