Morning all, just a quick check before I hit buy, this is the correct part for a 1994 Chimaera lower passerger side ball joint:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ball-Joint-Front-Lower-L...

This is the only MOT fail point after the car was laid up for 2 years. All electric gremlins have been resolved and therefore the car will be on the road for my 40th.

Many thanks,

MD

It looks the same but from what I've read they don't articulate as far, I didn't want to take the chance so I bought mine from race tech direct as they reckon they've had them specially made to suit

Had the same failure on mine late last year. Bought mine from Clevor Trevor for 36 pounds inc.VAT but 8.25 for postage. If the other side is ok I would not change it

+1

Let us know how it fits. I had a little trouble getting mine to sit in the wishbone properly and one other PHer did too - I did a thread on it a few months back. It seems the wishbone manufacture quality was at fault during the period I bought mine.

Normally less than a tenner from a motor factor. It's either a Saab 99 or Lada part (the top is one, bottom is t'other but I forget which way around it is!)
The 'modified' ones have had a little chunk ground out of the casting which otherwise won't clear the wishbone. You normally have to elongate the holes slightly too.

Hmmmm ... isn't carriage supposed to be VAT free?

Good point - so not on "postage" but VAT on "carriage" is correct ...
