Finally decided after much deliberation to get a new car. Currently have a 360 spider, e46 m3 and a 645ci, going to get rid of all of them and looking for something which could be used everyday however still gives some excitement.

Thoughts at the moment are between a vantage, r8, 911 or a granturismo. What would you go for?

911 of those you mention but would consider an m5 too.

An R8, frankly.

M5 or R8 ... Or similar RS Audi or perhaps a maser gran turismo? The quattro Porte?

I'd go for the Granturismo. The startup noise is beautiful, and it just seems to have the best combination of rarity, space, usability and specialness out of the cars in your shortlist.

I wouldn't fancy using any of those every day.

I drive what is commonly considered a taxi.

I'd bite his arm off to drive those every day.

The novelty would soon were off when you are putting your groceries in a 911. I'm not saying don't have one, just if you've got that kind of cash, get a normal run of the mill car for normal run of the mill trips to the shops.

I'm veering towards r8 at the moment although the grab turismo does look and sound amazing.

I totally see where you are coming from, but as I don't have that sort of cash, I don't have to think about that problem.

Plus at 19, I think I could put up with lack of practicality for the sake of driving a DB7 to work every day. In fact, it is in my 3 year plan to get one. If everything works smoothly, it should work. Then I'l get back to you on how annoying it is to put up with every day!
