Got a burner in the garage wrapped up in bubblewrap, I got it when I was 14 im 39 now and wont let it go for some strange reason.

Had a Tomahawk, then a Red Grifter followed by a Blue & Yellow Burner.

I still have the Burner, its in the back of the shed somewhere


My sister had a Raleigh Vektar.
From memory it was a Grifter frame with futuristic plastic body parts added along with some electronics.
It was cool in the 80s

I rode most of them. I started my working career at Halfords in 76 and would have to get the bikes ready for customers, had great fun riding them around the shop in the evenings

I had a Strika. Got it for my 7th birthday. Dad went ballistic on my 7th birthday +1 day, when, after I'd discovered that the rear brake consisted of pressuring the pedal backwatds, leading directly to excellent skids wore out the tyre in 24 hours. This necessitated a trip to Halfords & a welcome back so soon comment from the Halfords guy to my dad.

I was left in no doubt that next time, it was down to my sky rocket. I loved that bike.

First bike was a burner which was blue and yellow. First mountain bike was a purple raleigh mustang, which I thought was mint until all my mates got 'proper' mountain bikes like Scott and muddy fox...

Decals are new, some bloke on ebay was selling the sheets redone exactly as originals. The square font and aerospace logo do look pretty dated now but as a kid i remember thinking they looked really futuristic and sophisticated. Long, LONG time ago now.
