Not used them but a quick spec comparison to Burton's offerings shows similar specs for a lot less money! Sure you knew that already but I was wondering what the catch was!

sorry to hijack, but could a fan like this be used with the existing bulb switch in the rad? (on a late mgb)

I don't see why not. It's just a power feed after all. Does it use a relay?

Hi,I have two on my p5b and they work fine with reasonable quality. Just a word of caution though, try and fit the largest diameter possible as two smallish ones don't make one twice the size. And yes use relays.

I used two 8 inch mounted side by side as high as possible, they do cool the engine but have not tested in hot weather (30 degreesI wish) yet.

Thanks. If 2x8" cope with an RV8. A single 10" jobbie should be okay with a 1725 Rootes engine.

Just looking to order 2 fans myself funny enough, all the adds on ebay seem to be for the same make of fan just at different price levels / postage costs.

It does depend on the car, but unless the fan/fans are shrouded a fan on the inside of the radiator it will draw air from the places of least reistance, ie not through the radiator but up the sides of the engine. It's best to put the fan in front of the radiator to avoid this.
