Lost my garage space for my p&j so bought an expensive custom car cover from the states, does a great job in that it keeps it clean and dry. However a local cat is using it as a scratching post, every corner of the cover is now shredded, it's only a matter of time before it's worn right through. £140 down the swanney!!, also as there are a few cats around here, there's a bit of territorial spraying going on, again, on my fking car, went out in it yesterday and the nice leathery interior smell being overtaken by cat piss. Personally I've nothing against cats, but this is really pissing me off. Any suggestions welcome.

I believe cats don't like citrus smells, so try spraying some citrus fabric frshener on the cover?

One of my cats keeps attacking my new headboard, so I'm going to try some lemon scented spray to deter him.

You should be able to get something from your local nursery....that's plant nursery.....as a spray on to discourage pussy finding you car cover so attractive....but don't hold your breath that it will work, but I did have some success with the back of my lounge suite. You could tie a Rottweiller to the car!!!!!!

Some rugby practice seems to be required. Hold cat in both hands, let it drop just before you drop-kick it. You need to make sure you can cover at least 22 yards, otherwise, you must do it again until you succeed.

These worked when a local moggie decided the best place to poo was between mine and my neighbours parked cars.

I suggest catnip applied liberally, that'll sort 'em!
