Well its service time again and whilst i've been fettling and maintaining the 450 on a regular, rolling basis throughout the year the one thing that needs a precise date is the lubricant service. So:

1)What is the capacity of the LT77 gearbox and,

2)What is the capacity of the diff?

Also am i correct in thinking there is a small filter on the gearbox? Does this require cleaning or replacing?

Cheers

No filter in the g/b. As luck would have it I just took apart an LT77 (broke one off an old wedge).
The oil pump in the box is driven off the output shaft and features a pickup pipe with a narrow flattened end to prevent big bits being drawn into the pump. Small bits <1mm will get up there though.

There was only one thing wrong with the box I took apart and that was probably due to poor oiling - the bearing in between the input shaft and output shaft was kaput.
