Has anyone who has fitted the gaz mono tube upgraded from the GG pro's or other after market twintube if so could they comment on the difference and are they worth the extra or should I just go for nitrons.

Fitted today and did a little 5 mile test

The quality looks and feels great, the rod is much fatter that the old ggp shocks, they are also quite a bit lighter.ot sure ow much but noticible when you old both at the same time.

The ride height and as such geometry need re setting, I also had them 5 clicks from soft, however..... They feel really nice, really supple and ride the bumps in the road really nicely. I once had a set of eibach coil overs on an old car and these feel very similar in terms of ride quality. the eibachs I had were the best I ever used on that car and I tried a few including pss9's,teins and various shock and spring configurations.

I am after stiff but supple iykwim, I think I'll be very happy once set up. I'll post up my findings next week.

I have Monos with the same spring rates, 400/450 on my chim, 2 years now and no problems.

Good on road and track, no squeeks or leaks!

Anyone can give me a guide line of the price difference between GG mono'sand pro's? looking at changing mine quite soon, can't justify going to Nitrons. Happy to settle GG pros as I am not exactly a track demons. just want to improve the handling on the roads. Interesting to see more opinions between mono's and pro's.

I presume you've read the thread i started regarding GGP - i want to achieve what you say here and therefore can't justify Nitron, but some of the comments regarding GGP are so negative it's left me in a bit of a quandry!

Yes I have read your thread. I have also read the "Warning to all GG thread" too which is a lot more alarming. Subsequently, I was pointed out the thread was started back in 2009. GG have sorted out a lot of on going issues. I was also assured by Dom at Power that GG are good and he did use the word "now".

He said the same to me at the weekend, plus he is running them on his own Sag. I was tempted but have gone for Nitrons with eibach springs as they worked out about the same cost overall. And at the end of the day hardly anyone complains about Nitrons.

I'm looking at Gaz Monos for a S1 Elise. The debate is hot over in the Elise world, very few people have taken the plunge. I would be very interested to know what you think of the Gaz Monotubes, now you have put a few miles under your belt?

Many Thanks, Ed.
