well what started out as a quick repaint of my chassis only taking a couple of weekends started out back in October..............

age old story of ....... while I am at it I might aswell ............

so chassis fully stripped back to bare metal and repainted with POR15 (early Chim 430 and the chassis was still spot on, even on the top front corners, another case of early grey powdercoat being better than latter?)

wishbones - shot blasted and POR'd, I replaced the Front upper wishbones as they were the old 2 piece type and had seen much better days! although have to say disapointed with how easy the powdercoat chipped off so I have keyed them and POR'd aswell.

Exhaust - pre-cats removed, y-piece removed and polished

New Steve Heath Speedo sensor fitted (this was an absoloute ball ache as they are designed for the later type which runs off the propshaft, despite Steve making an adapter I still had to resort to removing and raising the sensor bracket, no problems with Steve though, has never stopped trying to help and changing the wiring etc for my car, just hope its as reliable as they say!)

Just have to put it back together now!

Still to do:

Refit all wishbones (all with new bolts!), fit my Nitrons to the rear (already have Gaz golds on the front), fit cossie brake kit to the front, change hub studs to slightly longer ones and refit the exhaust, unless any of you can think of anything else I can removed whilst I am at it?

cant wait to hear that V8 ROAR again, but seriously, why do we always end up taking months to do a job we only planned to take 3 weeks...........?

no real point to this thread, just trying to give myself motivation that I cant be far off now!!!
