I've had the chim(p) for 2 and a half years now and not replaced the battery. Its probably the original and so 5 years old now. Should I get a new one now or wait until it fails?

Thanks
Jeremy

Wait til it fails. I've had them last 7 years or more before now!

If they're on a conditioner, or the car's used regularly, they usually last more-or-less indefinitely. If neither are true, you're lucky to get a year out of them. Once they've been completely flattened, they won't accept a charge any more.

All IME, of course.

Buy a conditioner. Much cheaper than a new battery every other year...
