What went wrong to prompt pulling the engine ?

it was leaking oil out of the timming cover so it was engine out anyway....and then i got carried away and fitted a steel crank with all new shells,rings etc. light flywheel light porting and a general clean up i hope it works

It should do, when i fitted my new engine, it fired first time ... what was the cause of the leak... is it a 4.2 or 4.5 ?

early 4.2 leak was from front main and lack/breakdown of sealant on cover, im just a bit of a worrytit praying that the linners are sealed ok and that it dont leak oil and its timmed ok and and...

if you was carefully and did it right, it should be ok.

Take extra care when re fitting the wiring loom, dont plug the coil packs / lamda plugs in the wrong banks.
