Can anyone recommend a good and preferably mobile alloy wheel refurbisher in north Bucks. Managed to put a nasty ding on one of my front alloys today (trying to avoid someone who couldn't deal with actually stopping on a narrow road - grrr!!) Anyway, recommendations appreciated.

Fred the Tread (also trading as Pristine Wheels) in Sandy, Beds. 02908 583398

Not the cheapest, but I've had 8 alloys stripped & completely refurbished there and been delighted with both the results and the care they took with my car.

Very highly recomeended; no connection. yadda, yadda.

Best, B

I'm currently having mine done at another company just up the road from Pristine Alloys. I will report back once I've got my alloys back (hopefully tomorrow).

To add, I went elsewhere as my perception of Pristine was poor (hard to get a firm quotation from them) and indications were that they were very expensive.

My wheels are back, and I am very happy with the finish. This is the damage-

Here is the same wheel repaired. The rim isn't 100% straight though, as I noticed when taking this picture- but you really wouldn't see it unless you were looking for it.

Here is a full shot of one of the others-

They all look completely brand new, except for the bend not being completely gone (is it expected to be 100% perfect?). I need to replace the centre caps, so that is next on my list.

yep they're very good, and over the road from me. Our GTI was diamond cut there and is utterly stunning, if I do say so myself smile
