Front Number Plate
Discussion
When I bought my 3R the number plate was mounted on the centre of the lower intake to the radiator. I thought nothing of it but when I took my car for a service to Jetstream they advised that this would restrict air flow significantly through the rad, so they mounted it higher. It didn't occur to me at the time but I guess a bonnet sticker would allow full flow with no restriction.
Proper number plate bolted to the front as it helps reduce drag and direct more air over the car, without there is generally too much air trying to go into the radiator, it is better to seal the rad to the clam and reduce the amunt of air getting forced in..i ran many years without number plate and rad sealed to clam, cooling was good but at the expense of drag and poor airflow over the clam.
