Sure it does not sound like much but for me it's the best early birthday present ever (8th May)

When you read the items below it does not sound like much but it's taken a lot of effort today to get it to the point the we could start the engine and it must be said that all the credit goes to my very good friend Turbo Tim at Tuning Japanese from Aldershot one of the top tuners in the country ...

The positives from today :

oil pressure and oil flow to head now OK
Oil leaks - none from pressure switch or warning switch .. both new or modified parts
no fuel leaks
No obvious exhaust problems (pipes on frame, heads, or other pipes)
AFR looks OK for engines speeds run so far

Problems :
Slight water leak from a pump bolt (much less than extected)
Slight exhaust to flame material on chassis - perhaps an air gap might have do ..
oil pressure guage reads the wrong way start a 100 .. 55 at tickover 40 at 3000 rpm ..
No voltage charge shown on guage
Expansion of Throttle bodies after 8 mins stickes throttle control - general misalignment of throttles.
Another 12 ~ 17 mins to go for cam run in
Throttle linkage still rubbish and not good enough

At 4pm we retired to the local pub for well deserved refreshments beer

From the title I thought you had taken a 280 round Laguna Seca

Sticking Throttle bodies very often caused by being too closed at closed.
Once you have them all lifting together by eye put the flow gauge on them.

Can be a very time consuming job. Break a leg.

Thanks for the tip - looks very likely as one or two are open very slightly and the tickover screw is not touching anything..
