Just last week we were invaded by the Germans. At first I wasn't sure how to take it, was it a threat to my English castle or an alliance worth keeping.

My boy's new weekend toy. 1998 41k miles Z3M roadster with a straight 6 320bhp lump and all the electric gizmo's you could want. Electric roof, air con, cruise control, heated seats, electric windows, central locking, air bags, radio and bluetooth you can actually hear whilst driving.
I have been playing out in it all week and I am very impressed with it's level of comfort, ride quality and of course all the power you would ever want. (well nearly)

So I have been having thoughts, strange thoughts, mixed feelings, should I get rid of Tiv and get something simular, more up to date. scratchchin

I took the Tiv out last night on the same roads as I'd driven the Z and I was impressed. The 400 certainly didn't feel underpowered, quite the oppisite really. It wasn't uncomfortable and my phone didn't ring.

But the main thing is I got a feeling that the Z didn't offer, a scense of occasion. The noise cloud9, the looks some people give, the thumbup from some. The BMW is just another car on the road.

So in summary, Am I still thinking about changing, am I bks. What a strange week

TONY!!...BMW stands for "Bringen Mehr Wurst"..Which means "Bring More Sausage"..Which is fine if you are coming to the park meet..(Leave it gavin)..Each time you have these weird thoughts place your finger or head..(Depending on the severity of the thought)..Under the hammer..Cheers...Ziga

This is my third Wedge and my last one was a 450SE, but in between change of Wedges I have always considered buying a BMW Z3M. They are very powerful and look good too. Just a couple of things put me off buying one. First, is that I already own a BMW 450CI V8 convertible, fully loaded, so two BMW's in the family would be a bit too much, and the other, I knew that the Wedge gets more attention from people as its rare and looks and sounds unusual in a good way, only a Wedge can provide. So, a Wedge it was, and I am happy with the decision except when the Wedge goes wrong, which is quite often. However, its all part of the fun.

The only car I've seen/heared which would threaten my wedge is a group c race car , plenty of noise and quite fast , but a bit expensive at the moment and no good at all over speed bumps .biggrin

never mind the speed bumps, they wouldn't fit over a hampster in the road. Now if we're talking race type road cars then Group B rally cars of the early eighties touches every button.
quattro, rs500, 6r4, delta and the stratos would fill my garage
