Well time has come for my insurance renewal on my BMW 3 series and cant seem to find a sensible quote under about £1,000 which is approximately double to that what I paid last year! Nothing has changed in my situation except I have another years NCB. Are there any insurance brokers/companies that specialise in high mileage drivers? I currently do around 30,000 miles a year - mostly commuting but there is a small amount of business use needed as well.

You could do what a lot of my co-workers do, and lie.

Is doubled for wanting 30k pa and business use? I've just extended by policy to include business use and it cost me about £31 for the reaming 8 months on this years policy.

Some of the increase may be down to the number of bmw's getting stolen at the moment rather than the mileage you are doing.

Look in the BMW general section for the cars getting stolen with blank keys thread.

I'm sure that's exactly what it is!

My insurance is higher than last year, £1000 more expensive tbh. Really hope it was a typo

You have misread it, he said doubled to approx £1000 so £500 increase, still a massive increase though as the premium has doubled.
