I love both cars. I really hanker after a 306 GTI-6 but just not got around to getting one.

Tell us about your experience with each car..

Is the Cosworth a real hooligan?

The 306 has only been my daily for a month or so, i had a HDi before, which was terrible, slow and not particularly good on fuel.
The GTi i love, beautiful car to drive, behaves like a normal 306 until you push it, then it's brilliant, i average about 28mpg, but i only do 4 3 mile journeys a day.
Only thing i can really say bad about it is the right hand steering lock is truly dreadful, as we know, and it has no torque, if it's not redlining, it's not pulling.

The cossie, yeah, it's a hooligan, will leave a set of 11's down the road in the 1st 3 gears and sometimes 4th, in the wet it will spin the wheels in 5th gear at any speed. It currently has a broken gearbox and needs the mapping tweaking a little.

Ha, thank you.
I just want to drive the sierra, i've only done about 30 mile in its current guise, and that was without 3rd gear.

What kind of power is the Cossie putting down?

Got any Dyno graphs?

Great looking car!

Cossies a stunner!

Always loved the Moonstone blue..went to look at a 306 HDi in that colour and I would have bought it had the car not been so bloody awful!

What I wouldn't do for a clean GTi6 again! Just aren't many about nowadays frown

Probably because a lot of them ended up like mine did, 'reshaped' by armco.

I think the cosworth is stunning.
Hope you get the gearbox sorted soon.
Are you having to change the gearbox for a uprated one like a bara.

It's going on a standard t5 for now, just rebuilt with billet selector forks, I don't expect it to last long, but I can't afford a proper box at the moment. That's a job for next winter I think.
