Car wont start since ive had a flat battery.Managed to get into car and fit my accumate on it. It has now been on 30 hrs. I can get in and out of the car and it goes through the start up process on the dash but the fuel pump wont prime and nothing happens when I turn the key as if the imobiliser is stuck on. Any ideas anyone.
Thanks in advance

I assume immobiliser light is constantly on? Take out fuse 29 and put back in. Alternatively disconnect immobiliser unit in passenger foot well.

Exactly the same thing happened to my 350 a couple of months back after sitting off the charger for a couple of months. Disconnected everything including the imobilizerand got nothing. left in the garage and about to get it recovered and tried one last time and it all fired as if nothing was wrong and has done ever since. This was 4 days constant charge on a mates constant charger, not my optimate.

One thing is the priming noise is the power steering pump, not the fuel pump as I thought. The only difference between both attempts was voltage showed 12.3v on pod then when it fired, before turning the key was 12.7v. Wish this was more help but do suggest you try your charger on high and worse case, try an Anderson jump lead or get next to another car, whip your passenger front wheel off and access your battery for a jump start the old fashion way.

Disconnect battery and reconnect. This will reset the system and everything will be fine again.

I also recall that if a battery is *really* flat, that an Accumate won't charge it...

I've had a similar issue in the past and recall having to remove 2 fuses in order to reset the immobiliser, I think from memory they were 29 and 27 in that order.

I think that the alternative is to disconnect and reconnect the battery...
