I had my 1st track day today and I noticed more wear on the inner edges of the tyres. Is this normal?

Also I have at time when the engine is cold from start up either rev the engine when warming or it may turn off while idling.

Not every time it must be said. My car is running throttle bodies can this maybe help explain?

Any help welcome

Depends how much neg camber you are running as to whether inner edge wear is normal.

Have you had a geo and corner weight set up?

Typical of that set up, mine is exactly the same. Worth it for the noise though cool

The idling issue is the cold start setting. The car I have just bought is exactly the same apparently the map can be adjusted via a laptop plugged into the ECU (Emerald). Will be a job during winter as enjoying it too much at the moment!

I had thought with the throttle bodies that might be why but I was just wondering as it looks like I keep stalling it!

With the geo I haven't had one but I bought the car recently from cc and it was fully stripped down there.

Might be the same problem, but I doubt that an R400 duranail will have an Emerald ECU!

mine has smile and went through a phase of stalling, Ive had this before on another duratec Cat and spent ages trying to sort it and eventually fixed it by replacing the spark plugs, so when my R400 started doing this it was the first thing I tried and touch wood now seems fine and at £8 for a set its worth a go !

Ps watched you from the pit wall and you seemed to be getting quicker towards the end of the day, who is the day with in June ? Im thinking of doing June 9th or 10th with the Rs club, 105db noisy day and only £160 which is a bargain for Croft, if you or anyone else fancies doing it give me a shout as there are loads of places left at the mo!
