I mean, not the eclectic slapp and extravaganza mix please.

Check out young Tal who can accompany Beck and get Vinnie at heights.

Pretty good soloing there as well . . . without showing off!

Any more vids in this quality street?

Oh yes am a bit of a sucker for a decent bass lick it must be said!

Still no beating John "Thunderfingers" Entwistle for sheer class and versatility IMO -

Ryan Martinie from Mudvayne is a highly talented player too IMO, he's sure got some skills akin to Entwistle too! -

Mark who?

Stole his chair at a concert once. Epic moment. The 'do you know who I am'-face did not work for me. Did he know?

This is the Marc you want:

Funky like nothing else. The timing!

Jaco Pastorius - A Portrait Of Tracy

Check out Buckethead! And Flea ain't no crap either.

Jaco masterclass . . . wowzers. The absolute calmness in his playing. Mental . . . it's all in the mind.

"Not making it a practise. Make it musical." An important lesson to all young players.

If you don't: your music will become boring.

I watched a Don Menza vid yesterday: same thing. You can practise all your life, but never forget you are making music.

An afternoon wasted hahaha . . .

Phew:

And this one:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEKwLwbrYnM&fea...

He plays a few ideas coming from his 1st solo album . . . the harmonics and flageolets are out of this world. He damps the strings he does not use: gives him a good clean sound. Super elegant.
