DB9 Luggage space 4 Le Mans

....guess the seat belts are a bigger job...
Goodness no - the "boinging" noise when you don't have your seat belt on is bad enough, without the "you don't have a seatbelt to put on" warning too. Surely there is a pressure sensor that activates this you'd need to override with luggage weighing down a seat or two? krisdelta said:

Does the seat belt beeping thing go off in the back seats? I thought it was front only.Presumably you could just get the clip bit of the seatbelt and leave that plugged in to stop it beeping too.
Certainly no pressure transducer, just an ally plate underneath. Would like seatbelts removed although they're good for securing the bags!! Maybe some nice leather luggage straps...
This is probably the way I will go as well, but will also remove the seat backs. Not sure how to tidy up the roll over bar area, that's a job for better men than I!

I used acoustic damping parcel shelf carpet covering the MDF and mirror polished steel plates on the front
I did remove the seat backs .... They are bolted at the lower edge and behind the head rest
I should have taken a photo as what was left made me chuckle a little (BIG Sticker saying Ford Motor Company on the roll bar actuators,
It is hard to explain but once the seat back is removed the remainder is very uneven with the actuator module bolted on and various heave duty wiring looms.
One solution may be to remove seat back and wrap them (on a temporary basis)before re-installing.
I also need to do something with the transmission hump !

I have been working on some extra luggage space for Le Mans, this was essentially inspired by the rear of the DBS and not wanting to debt the DB( seat cushions
My rear seats usually contain child seats but Now !!

Just a wee bit off topic but was wondering how you get on with the child seats. I'm at a cross road. I need to swap my v8v for something with back seats and the options are a db9 or a rapide. I prefer the look (and price) of a db9 but not entirely sure how cramped my 5 year old will really be. I'm talking weekend use and I did previously have a 911 which was fine.My rear seats usually contain child seats but Now !!

Hi Slarti
I have two children in the back frequently .. Aged 10 and 7
I have to say it is cramped ... I have the older one behind me as I am a little vertically challenged (5ft 4 ish)
Having said the above the kids do enjoy it and see happy, they get a good view as seem quite high up
bought seats from Halfords (very basic but fit perfectly)
