hey chaps

If you could tell the top people at Sky sports how to improve the current show, what would elements would you change?

Unfortunately giving back to the BBC isn't one of the options wink

Don't think that there's much else that they could do. It is very very good.

The only thing that grates for me are the presenters (Croft and Brundle aside). They're not quite gelling at the moment but think this is just a time thing.

As I mentioned last week, the Home of F1 program on loop during the day needs to be canned so I can watch reruns of the stuff I miss in the evenings during the day.

Ditch the bint and SkyPad nonsense, use Ant Davidson properly, shorten the pre-show and be abit more flexible and reactive in the post-show (ala BBC stylee) otherwise the race coverage is fine IMO.

Skypad thing is rubbish. Just give me the onboard car, full screen for 100% of the time you can!!!

Presenters don't seem to gel - at all. Brundle seems to be leading the 'gang' whilst the others are more like puppies (don't know what's going on and trying their hardest to keep up, but it's not really working). I do hope it's only a matter of time before it becomes a lot slicker. Oh and Damon, you're frickin' boring.

Georgie Thompson/Natalie Pinkham after race lesbian session? A bit like the F1 forum but just better.

Have Herbert full time in place of Hill and use Davidson more, especially after the race.
Herbert needs more airtime, he's so much better than Hill. Davidson on skypad is good too, he picks up on things that normally gets missed.

1) Ditch Damon . Lovely man, but not a broadcaster
2) Ditch the linkman. He doesn't know anything about F1.
3) Spend some of their huge income on quality presentation. The graphics look more like Wrestling or Darts rather than a premium sport.
4) Get the British Government to reiterate that this company has unfit management
5) Stop hacking phones
6) Gives the viewers value and originality, rather than copying the Beeb and dumbing it down. The Chinese Proverbs thing in the Shanghai preview was a lousy attempt at doing one of those atmospheric, emotive BBC style pieces. But it looked like it was done by a C-grade art student that knew nothing about China. Or F1.

That's why I don't give any money to these charlatans anymore. Judging by the amount they spend on quality, I can only assume they are keeping the revenue to pay their phone hacking bills.

My first thought when I saw this thread hehe

I was gutted when I found out that Brundle was going to Sky. I thought the BBC nailed it last season. I particularly like Jake Humphrey. He does a brillian job. DC provides the ex drivers perspective and Eddie Jordan is there for the awkward moments hehe

I don't want to restart the BBC vs. Sky thing again, but I prefer the current BBC line up. Other than that, their coverage so far has been pretty good, but when it comes down to choice, the BBC wins for me.

Sort the horrific graphics, employ someone who knows how to fking well colour grade the packages.

The whole thing looks far too cheap. I feel like I'm watching F1 in a betting shop.

Thanks chaps - I've put together our collective thoughts for them. It was needed for today. Production meeting with the main guys. Let's see what comes of it - suffice to say the person driving this is the main guy, so hopefully improvements will happen.

Despite it being a great idea - I didn't pass the Georgie / Natalie girl on girl action.

If you can't manage this then just get them to wear fewer clothes?

A bit late to this, ne'er mind.
As above; graphics and titles look a little down market although some of the cgi stuff has potential to be great. The presenters still have time to gel IMO - give them a season before wielding the dagger. Except that Charlie chick - just don't get her at all. No clue about F1, apparently no interest either and is a bit plain/dull so not even eye candy.

My biggest gripe is that for me the sound is all wrong - the background noise of the cars seems to be too loud compared to what the commentators are saying.

It's like they've left a mic in the pitlane switched on or the soundproofing in their 'booth' is naff.

I'm constantly rewinding to try to catch something they've just said, and it spoils it.
