I rang the Halifax this morning for a mortgage promise as I bank with them and have been told they require a minimum of 15% deposit.
They have said they will lend up to £131k, I am looking for £121k. I don't want to start applying willy nilly, has anyone got any ideas?

Best advice from me would be to find yourself a good independent financial adviser, I have used a couple of different ones over the last 16or17yrs and have saved myself a fortune, ny current one managed to find me a much better deal on my mortgage last year and saved me over £200 a month (on a similar sized mortgage)

I have always found MoneySupermarket.com to be a good starting point.
