Attending my first tracks on Friday? I am currently obsessed with weather reports due to taking a car with no roof.

I will be in the very discrete bright orange Westfield, with either a Rover 45 or Jaguar XKR to carry the tools and umbrella selection.

I will be there in a Caterham R500 (k-Series) - tools bundled in the passenger seat in a large traveling bag. Forecast looks promising, but may be a little cool.

Will do :-) assuming I make it my fancy carbon cam belt cover has rubbed on the belt, so I need to source a replacement tomorrow. Fingers crossed somebody local has one in stock.

I want to congratulate the Motorsport-Event organisers for a well run, enjoyable and safe track day at Abingdon yesterday thumbup. It was a great day, very socialable, relaxed day with like minded people. I don't think I knocked over any orange cones, but I did spin it towards the end of the day just once where everyone could see paperbag Will book again, as I must try to master that last corner before the main runway straight without understeering across acres of tarmac!rolleyes

You were parked next to me I think, the XKR and Orange Westfield, what was the electronic boy in your car for?

It was a great day and now have the bug, I have booked Hullavington in June. Just fixing the oil leak that became rather obvious when I parked up furious

Hi, yes that's me nice xkr looked very smart. The mr2 isn't running an mr2 engine it's got a 2ZZGE in it as found in the 190 Elise's / Exiges the screen is a basic control pad for the ECU that runs it all - also displays up to 8 parameters so no need for external gauges, I have it displaying stuff like water temp, knock levels, max rpm & speed.

Good to hear you've got it back and it's all up and running smile

Hopefully catch up with you at the next one, have you got anymore days booked?
