So I am due for a sight test for my contact lenses.

I order my lenses online to save money.

I just tried to call up 2 of the local independant optometrists and neither would see me as I made it clear that I wouldnt be buying contact lenses from them.

I thought they were meant to be health proffesionals, not sales people?

I am now struggling to think of what I can do to get a sight test.

Any suggestions?

Try Boots, dont tell them you wont be buying your lenses from them.

Strange as my local don't mind but do charge a release fee for the prescription (circa £30)... They complained a bit and I said if they can price match or better then I would happily use them, but the 6/12 month check up with them added onto the price online is still over 33% than what they charge.

Again option 2 is to get the test done and then ask for the prescription afterwards, after not telling them beforehand you have no intention of using them.
