Can somebody PM me details of how to get in with a flat battery. I'm pretty sure I know but am having trouble and can't seem to get in

Thanks

Thanks for the replies I had. I followed the instructions but still can't get in. Could somebody PM me describing in detail what I should expect to find as I'm having no luck

Thx

smile I've had a detailed reply from a very kind fellow Cerb owner shedding a little more light on things. I'll have a look later but am confident I should now be able to get in.

On the plus side (I think?) I hadn't locked the bonnet so have been able to get to the battery which I think is probably the culprit. I'll be getting a replacement at the w/e but in the meantime would like to get into the car anyway.

Are you in?

Where are you - if you're local someone could nip round and show you - it's easy once you know how!!

I presume you're going Red Top?

LOL! You got me on the right track Fubes so thank you very much. Tanguero has provided some additional info. Didn't get the chance to try last night but will hopefully have a chance this pm or tomorrow.

Re the battery Rob, I was about to order a Redtop when I dug out the receipt for the current battery which will be replaced under warranty. I'll give that a go ensuring it's always on my accumate when in the garage, and if it fails again I'll defo go down the Redtop route

Glad you're in safely!!

Everyone should do this if they haven't done it before so that when they have to do it in anger in the pouring rain, dark and the car is on the back of an RAC truck, it's a bit easier!!! paperbag

Don't ask how I know!! hehe

Cheers

Rob

Hello Steve! This is one of the reasons I've not been out and about much lately, this and the weather of course! Hoping to get a new battery this w/e if I get the chance to get to Unipart with the old one tomorrow am. Still won't be at Bearwood on the 19th though as I've been called to my sisters b'day, 3-line whip I'm afraid!

Hopefully catch up soon

Thanks for your help Peter.

And I agree with Rob, people should try this before they need it so they know how. Thankfully mine was in a nice dry garage and not by the side of the road in the pooring rain hundreds of miles from home!
