Suffolk 3R - Presentation

I've been asking a couple of questions here in the past, been visiting a couple of forum members while looking for my new toy, and now is here so I thought a presentation was due.

First of all I want to say thanks to all who have been heklping me by answering questions.
Then, the car,I know it has been in the forum already (3 of the 4 previous owners were forum members). And since this thread is useless without pictures:

Full car after some 3 hours of polishing and buffing



And a (I believe) neat engine bay:


Sailed through MOT last week (well, after new tyres). Car was recently serviced, but should still make it's way soon to one of the usual names for a full check up. Missed Goodwood on Sunday but weather wasn't promising at 0500

I'm now on the hunt for a bodyshop in the area to repaint the rear clam (as there are a couple of marks).

List of job to be done for the time being:
new pipes into the tunnel (mod was done, but one of the pipes was touching the front wheel), so I can as well replace them all.
New tyres (as orderded in the group bay).

The only bad news: I've been told TODAY that I will be moved again in the next 6 months, Brasil I suppose (6th country in 12 years), hence my Nobility might be short lived, bugger!!

Car looks nice - same colour spec as mine.
Do you have any pics of your rear lights up close? Have you got all-red lenses?

took them 5 weeks just to give me a quote for insurance work and was uncompetitive, I had to chase them every other day to get the quote as well... apparently they don't actually do any spray work themselves but have a local bodyshop they recomend.

I spoke with Oliver yesterday, so far I have to say he has been very good with me, and yes, he told me they use a local bodyshop. This will not be an insurance job, damage was already there when I got it, so I'd like to find a good compromise between cost & quality.

He's a genius and paints lots of white Ferraris.

Just got mine back after having the front clam resprayed due to stone chipping, and I'm happy enough.

DC White, they will do a superb job and have lots of experience of Nobles, but the op wanted a place in Suffolk

Kerridges sorted out some bubbling paint on mine before I bought it, using a local bodyshop. The results were v good.

If the OP wants to venture west of Suffolk, I'd recommend these guys www.finishlineukltd.co.uk

They did an absolutely fantastic job on the stone-chipped front clam of my VX, and great customer service.

i would recommend George...he goes by the philosophy of keeping dust out of the paint bay and making sure the paint goes on not to thick but just enugh to give it that high gloss withut orange peel effect..

Hello, it almost deserves a new topic this one but these pics have set me off, Nice car by the way.

What are the arguments around Air filters (& intakes) either in the "chargecooler box" or beind the "C- pillars" ?

I see this car has one of each and I see others either have both in the "box" or both on the "c-pillar"

Just wondering..........

the best location is side pods, but only with side pod mods, without then leave them in IC box, if you want induction noise then move front to passenger side bulkhead, but it may pull in hot air from engine/local coolant tank, Ic box steals airflow frm IC, lose lose, for me bulkhead is more beneficial for performance when getting up speed as the top scoops d have god air flow, but in turn this steals airflw from the engine bay, heat is like cancer for these cars.
Side pod mod + air filters in side pod leaves good airflwo in engine bay and does nt steal from IC.

Best mod is fastback..

Well, I love the noise of the filter behind the bulkhead. And the car is plenty fast enough for me. So I would say it is a win win for me
