Yes - certainly for the summer. May review in September but it's really coming not its own at the moment.

Thanks for spotting my 4.0HC laugh

Brilliant. When I wrote it I wondered if the owner of this car would read this and be upset. What are the odds? Sorry - just a personal opinion voiced.

However, if I'd known it was an HC I would have taken a bit more interest. I've not seen one of these in the flesh before and getting another 40 odd bhp from the same engine with natural aspiration is very cool.

My view on the car is just a personal thing. The colour especially. I've owned red cars all my life and gone off them a bit.

You may think my car is a monstrosity and you'd be entirely entitled to your opinion. I sense that every man has his own specific taste in Chims. That's part of the fun I think. My preference is a little light visual modification to create a more unique vehicle by many like a classic original look.

At least I now know the blog's being read!

No problem mate, I found it all highly amusing laugh

The one thing you will learn is the TVR world is quite a small one.

Clearly you are local, if you want to hook up to take a closer look at my red car I will be pleased to show you the following improvements.

  • 16" Front Imolas
  • Gaz Gold Pros
  • Leven Rose Jointed Drop Links (Front & Rear)
  • Poly Bushed Anti Roll Bars (Front & Rear)
  • SC Power Plenum Spacer
  • SC Power Bell Mouths
  • SC Power Plenum Base Heat Insulating Gasket
  • ACT full induction kit with K&N
  • Siemens 250cc Pintle Injectors
  • V8 Developments Stealth Cam
  • JP Vernier Roller Timing Chain Set
  • Mark Adams Tornado ECU Chip
  • Mark Adams Rolling Road Session & Fine Tune
  • Pre-Cats removed
  • ACT De-Catted & Flowed Stainless Y Piece (so full de-cat)
  • NGK BPR6EIX Iridium Plugs
Ect, Ect, Ect.

The fact it has all this yet looks (to the initiated) completely standard, I assure you is very much by design.

Did you say you are in PR wink

Oh my god what a setup. That's amazing. Had no idea.

You've got the whole Q-car thing down to a fine art. I would love to come and take a look around it. I am thinking about some performance upgrades for the engine on mine to release a few more horses and it sounds like you have some experience here so if you fancy a beer over the next few weeks let me know and you can talk me through it. I have to warn you though - I am no mechanic so you will have to go easy on the technical details.

Are you coming to this on Sunday?

It's in Denham, between Junction 1 of the M40 & Rickmansworth.

Dave.

In my experience many just put their names down early on to hedge their bets.

So you always get a quite a few dropping out, they usually withdraw their names on the Friday or Saturday before the event.

Watch your name climb up the list over the next few days.

Do a final check on Saturday evening & I bet you will be in the 500.

Good luck, Dave.

Dave,

Love the look of the 16's on the front as well !! I personally love the exterior standard, classic british sports car that way !

Mossboy; I do, however, appreciate the odd modd and am loving the blog... good to hear your daughter is coming round to the car. I managed to get my mrs in mine for the first time last weekend. Strapped her in with the 4 point luke harnesses (which she absolutely dispises), gave it a bit of sideways and overtook a couple of things and i think she can now understand why i love it so much.

I posted on your wet carpets thread but i know on your blog you'd mentioned about something inside the engine bay having come off...if that's on the right hand side then start with that, if not then try what i mentioned in the other thread.

AJ

Much obliged and glad you are enjoying the blog. I've had quite a lot of visitors - pleseantly surprising given I expected none at all!

The hole in the engine bay fibreglass is on the other side so I suspect it's your other suspicion that is correct.

Will report back.

I still think an immaculate near standard car will be more valuable and collectable than moded cars ..Look at the classic car world ,standard is everything .

Mine is far from immaculate in fact its a bit tatty ..

Sadly yes. Considerable change in personal circumstances I won't go into on the forums means I can't keep it. Not very happy but at least i got to own it and enjoy driving it for a few months. Extremely disappointed. Life goes on. Will see what I can get for it. Sad days.
