Hi Guys, so having some issues with my MGB.

I'm thinking one of the floats has swollen and mis-shapen with age as it doesnt move freely in the bowl.
I've had experiance of setting the float heights before on my landy (also with SU hif's) but the float seems to ''catch'' on the sides of the bowls either at the bottom or the top of its movement.

The resulting affects of this when on the car are either it coughs and splutters like its running out of petrol as it doesnt let enough fuel in to fill the bowl, or it also coughs and splutters as it shoots fuel out the overflow as the needle is stuck open(as its the front carb/ twin SU's)

Has anyone ever heard of the floats misshaping as described, thanks

Check your needle valves and seats too as they can gum up and cause starvation too.
