Robbie ,
The o&g job market is very good at the mo
With ur experience I think you should pick something up
Best place to ask is the Scotland forum , search there as well
You need to look at the press and journal on a Friday , has most vacancies
Also there is loads of websites like this

Hi Frank looking for offshore or onshore but i live in Glasgow so looking for rota work so i dont have to completely re locate. Im a leading engineering tech electrical biased with nvq level 3 in elec engineering, advanced apprentiseship nvq 2 mechanical engineering as well as various other tech certificates at city and guilds level and leadership CMI certificates. thanks
There is a multiple different routes you could go ,
Drilling side of things - search for sea drill kca rowan drilling and see what's on there sites
Wells and well services - look up Qserv , expro , schlumberger baker Hughes , weather ford , fmc , Cameron ,vetco Gray
Subsea - Technip , Kravner , Deep Ocean Subsea 7
Basically get a good Cv sorted out and start firing it out big time and be ready for lots of rejection I think but got to just keep trying
You may have to take a onshore post for a few years to get the foot in the door
Would the likes of this be up your street

Assume you've had your CV reviewed at a career transition workshop? Even so, its still worth having it scanned by someone in the sector you're hoping to go in to. You need to as with the volume of military redundancies occuring may see you facing stiff competition from a lot of experienced collegues. Good luck!
Hello Deeps.
I'm very close to the end of my time (23+years) and in the same boat as you (boom boom). There's lots of onshore/offshore jobs in the petro-chemical and power generation/utilities sectors advertised at the moment, a lot of which I've got applications in for.
Have a look at some of these sites, there's even some companies who are specifically looking for ex-forces.

If you are interested in Subsea, keep an eye out in Rosyth CTP for a large drilling company recruiting around June/ July onwards.
Failing that look for an advert looking like this but for worldwide applicants.

I joined the company with 4 ex-submariners, I'm guessing that the submariner community is small enough that you will know them.
