1M Coupe gravel rash.
Discussion
After having clocked up 7000 miles the front portion of my rear arches are already starting to look a little worn and pockmarked.I had the car detailed a little while back and its sad to see the sorry state they are starting to look already.Perhaps the BSM makes it looks worse as the white underneath stands out more but i would like to deal with it before it gets much worse.
As i dont fancy a respray of this area every six months i have made a few enquiries re the use of some type of Film application and was wondering if anyone else has dealt with this issue already and if so what type/thickness/from where/who and what did you use?
Thanks.

I have used a crap load of colonite heavy duty wax all over the prone to stone chips areas and having just hit 4300miles on the clock and just getting back from a trip to the ring a week and bit ago, touched up 3 small chips, one on the lower portion of front bumper and 2 on the underside of the side seals just behind the front wheels.
I've had Xpel by Paintshield had the complete front bumper, full bonnet and front wings, mirrors, a pillars, lights, roof, front and back of rear arches and both sills and haven't got a mark on my Valencia Orange paintwork. Before you say it Aussie it does come out of the garage-sometimes Lol

See how you say sometimes! lol and the first sign of dark clouds its back indoors with a blanket covering it to keep warm...........
Just had Matt from Style and Shield who is an authorised VentureShield 3M fitter apply this product(the 3M film) to the side skirts and rear wheel arches of my 1M.
He is Northants based and has done a fantastic job for me,very neatly applied with great attention to detail. Its practically invisible on the sideskirts and even on my BSM its hard to see the join line on the arches. If your after anything similar give him a call on 07896017118.
Rob at Dooka Detailing (also Northants based)07754733778 prepped the areas ready for the application. He originally detailed my car for me a little while back doing again another fantastic job.Rob is definitley one of the most fustidious chaps i have ever met over his work, which bodes well when your cars on the recieving end of a 2 day job.I had previously never had any level of detail work done on any previous vehicles but i will in the future, the results are simply stunning and well worth the outlay.Car looks cleaner for far longer with a much deeper more uniform colour minus the dreaded 'swirlies' and after each subsequent wash simply shines.
Thanks to both these guys for keeping my 1M looking as good as it does.

My bonnet is also a little pockmarked from the odd stonechip but i chose to have just the sills and rear arches done as these seem to be the worst affected areas with the arches in particular looking more like poor paintwork rather than a collection of stone chips.I think if it were left much longer there would have been more white than BSM what with the front wheels constantly 'sand blasting' them.
It probably would not have looked so bad on a VO or AW.
