seal/o ring for radiator bleed screw

hi guys, just been doing a coolant change on the chim (430 1993) and noticed that there is an o-ring or seal on the radiator bleed screw - this doent look in the best of condition,

is it a seal or just an o-ring? I am assuming any type will do???
