)If you want people to look for it you need to tell people what it is and how to recognise it.
You don't need to tell people your personal details, i.e. you can just tell people the phone number of the Police force who are dealing with it.
Otherwise its randomly trying to bribe info out of the local Oiks and that generally does not work well.

I had my jetski stolen I put all its details and photos on every jetski forum and on Ebay as a spoof ad.
This made it impossible for the thieves to sell on and it was recovered following a tip off to the Police.

Spoof Ebay add aside I did the same thing with my VXR when that was stolen. Stuck it on the VXR Owners, here, all the Honda Type R owners forums I was on, even a boatload of car club facebook pages, including Redline and Fast Car. Posted every useful pic I had of the car and any details which made it stand out, wheels, brakes etc. I had my jetski stolen I put all its details and photos on every jetski forum and on Ebay as a spoof ad.
