Apart from reporting it to the Police and hoping they find it, what else can I do.

I don't really want to put all the details over the net......

Any other "bright" ideas; I feel violated

ETA.....It is worth very little.

Put it in the Stolen Cars Wiki at the top of the thread. If the details are here then maybe someone will spot it.

I hope it is found and returned ASAP and the offenders get what they deserve (alas I only hold out hope for the first bit irked )

If you want people to look for it you need to tell people what it is and how to recognise it.

You don't need to tell people your personal details, i.e. you can just tell people the phone number of the Police force who are dealing with it.

Otherwise its randomly trying to bribe info out of the local Oiks and that generally does not work well.

These two statements together make no sense - do you want a chance of getting it back or not ?

I had my jetski stolen I put all its details and photos on every jetski forum and on Ebay as a spoof ad.

This made it impossible for the thieves to sell on and it was recovered following a tip off to the Police.

Spoof Ebay add aside I did the same thing with my VXR when that was stolen. Stuck it on the VXR Owners, here, all the Honda Type R owners forums I was on, even a boatload of car club facebook pages, including Redline and Fast Car. Posted every useful pic I had of the car and any details which made it stand out, wheels, brakes etc.

Well it's back in my possession; found in a garage on the South Coast by the Police this AM. An "intelligence led operation".

As far as i'm aware it was untouched. Various personal possessions, including a small bit of cash, were untouched.

Hooray......

My (late) Dad's, brought from new, 26k miles Mk2 Golf Gti. Nothing to valuable to the thief and would probably have ended up as scrap!
