Hi all,
I sold my Cinq Sporting as she was starting to feel sorry for herself and I generally got bored of her
So I collected my 1st mx5 mk1 3 weeks ago now and loving mostly every day of it
Reason why I bought a 5'er was because I needed a new daily, I had the use of a Fiat Cinq Sporting in yellow which I did actually rather like but she was starting to fall apart, plus I was starting to get a little bit fed up of her so started looking for a new daily. I looked at everything from old school mk1 and mk2 Fiesta's to a Clio Williams to a cheap Fiat Coupe but just couldn't find anything in budget or what I really fancied. So I have always had a softspot for the mx5 so had a look for a nice mk1 as I know I didn't want to blow the budget on a mk2, viewed a few mk1's but was put off by rusty sills and floor pans so I nearly gave up on finding a nice tidy one in budget...until I found the one I have now
She is a 1995 1.8 UK Mazda MX5 MK1 in Laguna Blue Mica, shes done 95k miles, paint work is not tooo shabby but I didn't mind that but more importantly no rust anywhere on the car, went a viewed her and bought it that same night
And if I need something more practical I can just use the GTA
Now for some photo's...the 1st ones are from the seller...

With the new alloys and 'style bar'

Lets just say I now know why these cars are held in such high regard

Tidy looking car you've got there, good buy.
Not to keen on the swapping of light weight OZ's in favor of the new wheels, is there a reason for the swap? or is it purely cosmetic preference?
Well I smacked two alloys in the wet and broke off two large chunks of metal from each wheel so found it was cheaper to buy new alloys and tyres so made sense to do that Not to keen on the swapping of light weight OZ's in favor of the new wheels, is there a reason for the swap? or is it purely cosmetic preference?
