Battery knackered?
Discussion
My 07 Z4M been garaged all winter. It's coming out shortly so connected charger and left it on trickle/slow charge 3 amps for 5 days. Went to start the car, it started but when I switched it off the battery was dead again.
So my question is. Is the battery fecked or should I put it on fast/full charge. What warranty does these OEM battery's have. 5 Years?
Thanks for your help

Sounds like the battery is dead, not holding charge, needs replacing.
If you were laying it up for winter and Optimate or Ctek battery conditioner should have ben attached to avoid this problem.
Battery warranty is as long as the cars warranty from new, if the battery is not the original, but a BMW battery then it will have a 2 year warranty as all other Genuine BMW parts if you bought the parts.

Yeah that's correct.
On another note, take it very easy on the car and make the first run a good long gentle run, allowing the engine to warm through thoroughly. Don't start it up and allow it to idle. Oh, check the tyre pressures before you go out
Check for oil leaks when you get back and try the air con. Laying a car up can encourage seals to shrink. AC can often lose its refrigerant and gaskets can weep oil. Once back drop the il and fill with fresh stuff.

Is it a 027?
If so it's the same battery as fitted (recommended) for E46 CSL, amongst other, it shouldn't have any problems running your car but does have less reserve capacity, IIRC a 096 or 100 barttery is the direct equivalent to your old battery.
Yes, it's a 027, I'll need to get it returned as its too shortIf so it's the same battery as fitted (recommended) for E46 CSL, amongst other, it shouldn't have any problems running your car but does have less reserve capacity, IIRC a 096 or 100 barttery is the direct equivalent to your old battery.
