SLK32Amg Warning lights, help please

On a recent long run in my car these warning lights came on, BAS/ESP, the day after on a short trip the lights are not on. Does anyone know what may be wrong with the car?

Most likely cause is the brake switch. Don't be fooled into thinking the switch is ok just because the brake lights are working as the switch usually has to two connector plugs one for the brake lights & the other goes to the Bas/Esp control module. To be 100% certain you need to get the car plugged into a diagnostic scan tool or the proper Mercedes Star Diagnosis laptop which will then give you the reason why the light came on.
If it is the switch, they,re not very expensive, about a tenner & although a bit fiddly getting the cover of out the way under the dash the switch is easy to change.
