W126 Climate control
Discussion
Random I know...
I had a 380 SEC (1983) which had two temp "wheels" as such on the centre console, which I assume was duel zone control?
Now i'm looking at a 1987 560 and the pic of the centre console shows just one wheel and a few switches, now is this just a later type of switchgear or has the car get basic air con/climate (i.e. no dual zone)
I would just have thought being a 560 it would have all the boxes ticked?

1983 380 SEC

Ed- Pic wont load of the 560 but basically its just one temp wheel toward the passenger side with a about 4 buttons the drivers side where the wheel in the 380 pic.

The 560 has got climate control; the 380 has tempmatik (standard) with air conditioning (optional). Oddly, climate control does not have dual zone temperature regulation. It is, however, fully automatic in operation and generally regarded as "better" than the tempmatik a/c set up.
Thanks chap! I assumed less wheels meant more basic!Gassing Station | Mercedes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
