As part of our Euro Trip this year, we will be staying a night in Freiburg and then driving into Switzerland. I've heard that the B500 would be a good road to take?

yep B500 is good.

The Freiburg to Schauinsland road (as mentioned on the other thread) is brilliant - famous Hill Climb and it doesn't disappoint at all.

Also the Kandelpass is good to the East of Freiburg.

And this one looks good but I haven't driven it yet:

Thanks for the advice. Looking at a map, I think we'll head up the Schauinsland road and then across to pick up the B500.

Schauinsland panoramastrasse is epic. Kandelpas is great to, tarmac bit worse and slightly narrower.

The B500 can be a bit crowded so check out the smaller roads as well.
Todtnau, Todtmoos area is great with less traffic. The Belchen cable car might be interesting when you had enough fun on the roads. Bit of a view, walk and beer is a welcome distraction.

Its a nice area, like a little switserland.

My experience of biking in the area leads me to believe if you stay out of the towns the roads are all good. We sat down with maps and satnav and played join the wiggly bits and ended up on some fantastic roads.

I agree. My wife was less keen as my passenger.

Well luckily my wife is staying home. It's just me in my B3, a mate in his C55 and another in a V8 Vantage smile

I'll make a note to add the Schauinsland test to the wife requirement list... wink

Our journeys across the world often just happen to take in famous drivers' roads...

My challenge is to maintain a decent, smooooth pace for as long as possible before the words,
"I'm feeling Sick", are heard from my passenger. In this case, we got most of the way to the top of Schauinsland.

Over the years, the driving has become smoother and/or passenger tolerance has increased.
