engine mount snapped! common problem?

As the title says, happened last night, most inconvinient thing ever as im in the middle of moving house.
Its a 2010 1.6tdci ford focus, is this a common problem? Being fixed under warranty but just curious

Happened to me about 30 years ago, driving my dad's Simca van. The idle speed was getting ever higher, due to the rusty inner guard letting the engine lean forward, pulling on the throttle cable. Had to tow it home using my Mini Clubman.

They shouldn't go that early. Must have been a bad one.

AA man said engine mount, he's not to sure wether or not the gearbox casing or gearbox is nackered. Had to drive it about 200 yards to a safe point. But yes your right shouldnt have happened so early. Arnold clark were wk, i bought the car from them and they turned me around! Had to get towed to polar ford, cost me 48 quid! :@
