What Have I Done - Ignored Everyone's Advice

I have started several threads on suitable 2+2 RWD cars to replace my RX7.
In true PH style I didn't buy the most suitable car (an E36 / 46 M3)
Instead I bought a cheap Chimera, I know I shouldn't have, I knew the price was too cheap and suddenly the list of "little jobs" the owner admitted to became bigger and bigger as I looked over the car.
I know it's not a 2+2, nor economical nor really a usable every day car.
It currently has about 100bhp - I know this as it couldn't keep up with an XR2i on the way home - I'm hoping it just needs a good service / tune up.
On the drive back with the smell of the exhausts burning everything under the bonnet memories of my old Griffith came flooding back - like the wind noise with the hood up, the useless wipers the added bonus with this car was the heater not blowing hot and the radio didn't work either.
After a 2 hour trip home I remembered why I swore not to buy another one.
Although surprisingly it did manage to get me home without breaking down or getting hot.
Weirdly I can't wait for Saturday to start fixing it then perhaps the performance might outweigh the problems.

Contrary to common belief they aren't very noisy inside my Griff was the same. 
Or come and listen to my Soarer - that's LOUD !
Seriously the people you overtake get to hear the best sound I was always a bit disappointed how quiet they are.

Yep - even with walls both sides - that ain't loud.I'll get some of my Soarer - I removed the 4 rear boxes - it sounds like a NASCAR - seriously.

I bought a Chimaera late last year as a winter car
Yes it's a bit of a project but all basic stuff like clutch, diff etc. driven to Germany in it twice with no problems apart from the slipping clutch.
Sounds like your engine needs a professional poke.
Mines very quiet compared to my Tuscan but that will change.
I used to have a 1993 which sounded nicer but I'm guessing that was per-cat ?
That may be something to check if your cats are collapsed your engine may be choked by the exhaust.
(don't know what I'm talking about really but it sounded good).
Congrats on the purchase.
What year is it.
Oh and my 1998 400 was only £3,5k
