Hi,
Just returned a 991 c2s to porsche after borrowing it for 2 days when my 997 went in to have the extended warranty. What an awesome car, the fastest I have ever driven. After getting back in mine the steering is so much heavier. Can the 997 steering be altered, does it have different settings?
I am doubling my lottery subscription, desperately need a 991!!!
Thanks in advance

Have you tried a Fiat Punto, they have a 'City' button for those with weak arms.

Maybe get one of those? biggrin

Lol! I would like to say its for the benefit of the Mrs but its not! Someone once told me there were various settings that the dealership could change to make it lighter but not sure if its true or not?

I'm not sure you can change the setting on the 997, but I assume the differences due to the 991 having electronic rather than hydraulic steering.

From what I have read so far people don't tend to like the 991 steering

Another myth, I liked it and it was very feelsome on the road. Sounds like the 'Clarkson' effect taking hold, and we all know he dislikes 911s.

I suspect the 991 had Power Steering Plus. It's a £200 option that makes the steering lighter at low speeds and gives the impression in general that the steering is lighter.

Wouldn't really call the 997 steering heavy, perhaps its the 991 that is just light at slow speed?

To add my 2p, in addition to tyre pressures, the geometry settings make quite a difference too. I've just had mine reset for more negative camber and less toe and it's defo added weight ..... biggrin
