Latest information....

Just to let you know...There is a scam at the moment where the recent visitors to Spain are having summonses sent to them regarding alleged speeding offences in Spain.

These could be either in their own vehicles or hire vehicles.

There is a fine of 119euros (£90) to discontinue the prosecution so that no points are placed on English Licences etc.

It's a total scam. Exactly how the details of the british drivers have been obtained isn't yet know. What is known is that a few dozen of them have already posted Cheques to the address and these have been cashed.

Just so you guys know...

I'd probably start by looking into hotel registration forms. They usually require you to give home address and sometimes car registration (useful for Interpol, I've heard)

A colleague has received one of these recently, and it was ten years ago that he was last in Spain!

We've just got back from Spain...
