We're booked on an early ferry from Portsmouth so looking for a hotel to stay the night before...
needs to have secure car parking...

Any recommendations?

I've stayed at the Holiday Inn Express next to Gun Wharf a couple of times (mainly due to being able to use Priority Club points). Parking is reasonably secure, you can either park right outside the hotel (limited spaces though) or use the covered carpark shared with the shopping centre (ticket/barrier controlled). Never had any problems leaving the Caterham overnight.

Portsmouth and secure are words that can be rarely used in the same sentence.... There is a etap hotel in fratton that i seem to remember has some parking round the back that would be pretty secure

NOt used it but this one claims to have secure parking. Perhaps give them a call?

I've used the Premier Inn at the roundabout at the end of the A3(M) at Havant before. The car park is around the back seemed relatively ok. takes less than ten minutes from there to the ferry check in.

Wow - more options than I would have believed in Portsmouth...
I'll check our Stattons and if not try the Premier Inns.
Thanks so much guys

Stattons were super helpful on the phone and will reserve the easiest space for us in the car park - so have gone with them.
Great recommendation.
