After years of biking my old bones are aching now, so very reluctantly my lovely machine has to go, it has had lots of nice mods so should fetch £3500
I am after a larger diesel or something I can easily fit my golf clubs into, I'm in a dilema now as I dont know which models to go for so any help would be great guys..
I have been looking at Jaguar x type 2.0 and 2.2 with leather interiors, other suggestions would be welcomed but obviously with such a small budget I'm limited

So what diesels can you suggest for me please?

You could go S-type 2.7TD V6, plenty of car for the money.

I have an X-type 3.0 petrol and love it smile

I bought a 3 litre x-type recently. Awful fuel consumption, bloody quick, handles really well, sounds good cos it's got big exhaust pipes & my 6 year old son loves it.

It's also got a cassette player! Fabulous car & I wish i had bought one yonks ago. Even swmbo thinks its a good car so it must be!

Recently managed a stonking 15mpg on a journey up from Dartmouth. Do I care?

No.

Buy one. You won't regret it.

S type 2.7 is twice, no four times the car a 2.0 or 2.2 X type is. But sadly a quick look on autotrader shows its just out of budget, If there is anyway you can strech that out a bit lots of lovely cars out there for less than £4500.

Mine does loads to the gallon! Mid to high 30s on a run on cruise control but a touch over 20 in town. Mind you I'm quite light footed and tend to waft rather than hoon unless I'm in the mood to play tunes on the custom stainless pipes round some twisties biggrin

Have to agree they sound fab and drive nicely.

Pop some headphones on to get the real feel of these, quality is a bit pants but you get the idea...

Mine made loud: http://s462.photobucket.com/albums/qq349/SixFiend/...
