Brakes and upgrades
Discussion
hi all,
I currently have Braketech slotted discs front, Godspeed slotted discs on the rear with godspeed kevlar pads all round, cusco master brake stopper, HEL braided hoses and silkolene 5.1 fluid.
I am looking to sneak something on the credit card along the lines of the KSport kit. My questions are:
1)will I notice the difference
2)are there any considerations regarding alloy size and clearance
3)anyone got experience of the kit and how easy it is too fit
many thanks in advance

In my experience (which is by no means expert), I found the stock brembo STi brakes more than enough. On track days they did get a bit of fade, but for road use they were fine. Personally, I think it would be a waste of money at that power level... I would just change my driving style and balance the power into corners better
I've had AP six pots on my RB5 with Godspeed disc and they were good but had Ferodo pads and suffered from pad deposits.
I've got four pots on the WRX and they are fine for day to day but the car is standard PPP so does not get a hard time.
I have standard Brembo sti callipers on my Spec C with Carbotech discs and pads and they are very good, feel stronger than the AP's. They have had a lot of fast road use but no track use so can't comment on fade.
